Job description

Multi-specialty Surgery Center is seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist to work in our surgery center. Urology and plastics experience preferred. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of the surgical technologist role.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare and organize the operating room equipment, instruments, and supplies as required for various surgical procedures
• Anticipate surgeon needs during a procedure
• Prepare specimens for lab
• Set up a sterile and maintain the sterile field during procedures
• Utilize correct body mechanics in moving and positioning patients, stretchers, and/or tables in order to prevent injury to patient and personnel
• Participate in inventory management, stocking and restocking medical supplies
• Inspect and sterilize medical instruments

Qualifications for Surgical Technologist

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Certification as a surgical technologist preferred, or similar experience in an operating room
• 1-2 years experience working as a surgical technologist
• Current Basic Life Support certificate required
• Demonstrated knowledge of operation and maintenance of equipment and supplies located in the operating room

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
