Certified Nursing Assistant- Part Time Evening shift
Job description
Hours: Part time Evening Shift Sat/Sun and one weeknight
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care to patients on the unit
- Keep the nurse informed of patient needs and conditions
- Make scheduled rounds on the unit assuring the whereabouts and status of the patients.
- Assist patients in their whirlpool treatments.
- Perform the on-person search of patient and document the findings in the appropriate places.
- Perform chart audits.
- Ensure patient care equipment is in clean, working condition and in the appropriate places and keeping patient care areas clear of obstructions and in an organized manner.
- Assist in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as directed by the nurse.
- Work a flexible schedule based upon service demands
- Maintain quality control logs following OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
- Patient scheduling of appointments to include transportation requests.
- Prepare patients for examination: height/weight, vitals that include BP, pulse and respirations.
- Assist with clerical duties as needed.
- May be assigned PCA job description duties as needed

- Lifting: up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Standing: up to several hours at a time, which may include walking, climbing steps, and descending.
- Walking: must be able to ambulate throughout the assigned facilities on campus or Caron properties.
- Sitting: up to several hours at a time for data entry into the computer or medical record documentation.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current certification as a C.N.A.
- Previous experience working as C.N.A. in hospital or long-term care facility
- Current CPR/First Aid training/certification.
- Two years continuous sobriety preferred if in recovery.
- Previous experience in a hospital/chemical dependency rehabilitation treatment program preferred.
- 21 years of age or older is required
- Requires a current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license
