Provides patient care management to an assigned clinic.

Essential Functions:

• Records height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations, and pain assessment.
• Assists the physician while the patient is being examined.
• Performs simple laboratory tests, and first aid procedures and administers injections
• Schedules appointments with specialists, ancillary services, organizations, or hospitals if indicated and obtains the authorization of insurance if needed.
• Ensures the exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Prepares instruments and equipment to sterilize.
• Documents all in-house testing and procedures in EMR and in department logbooks.

Requirements:

· A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.

· License/Certification: Graduation from an approved certified program for assistants in a required specialty.

· Certification by an approved accredited certifying agency in the specialty that work will be performed.

· BLS/CPR from American Red Cross Association or American Heart Association

· One (1) year of clinical experience in an ambulatory practice setting.

· Bilingual.

Central Area 79905/$12.62 per hour/Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm

All must pass a drug test, and background checks, and must provide copies of certifications as listed above.
