Our well-established Cardiology office in beautiful downtown Mount Dora is seeking a full-time, experienced, or willing-to-be-trained Certified Medical Assistant. We are looking for a professional who treats others as they would like to be treated and who understands the value of compassionate service. Multi-tasking abilities are required. Duties will be allocated where needed. The ideal candidate will always make eye contact with the patient while speaking with them and provide personalized service. Drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Perform EECP therapy
• Perform patient monitoring
• Perform stress testing
• Process holters
• Direct patient flow and prepare patients for exams
• Facilitate collection of all necessary information required for patient visits.
• Accurately record pertinent information in the EHR and ensure necessary patient charting is processed in a timely manner
• Assist providers with clinical procedures as directed per national standards of practice
• Proactively monitor schedules and keep patients updated
• Keep exam rooms clean, neat, and stocked
• Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments
• Accept and return patient phone calls in a timely manner, as per physician direction, with accurate documentation
• Actively participate in keeping shared areas clean and organized

Education and License:

• Certificate from a qualified medical assistant program (ie: AAMA or NCCT)

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to work well with patients, providers, and other staff
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and cope with the obstacles of a busy, fast-paced work environment
