By working closely with our board-certified dermatologists who are professors at NYU Langone, teaching and education as a team allows to care for our patients and each other.

Certified Dermatology and Cosmetic Medical Assistant

An Entière Dermatology and Cosmetic Medical Assistant is integral in delivering patient care and service. The ideal candidate must have dermatology specific medical assistant experience, cosmetic dermatology experience, strong communication skills, commitment to exceptional clinical care, comfortable with blood draws, loves dermatology and skincare, and above all, has a caring patient-care attitude and shares an authentic enthusiasm for healthy skin, skincare, and medical dermatology and cosmetic procedures.

Certified Dermatology Medical Assistant

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective physician(s).
• Assist physician(s) in medical, cosmetic, surgical, and laser procedures.
• Scribe all clinical medical notes and communication notes.
• Assist physician(s) in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, phlebotomy, prior authorizations and procedures within established guidelines.
• Prep rooms before and after patients’ treatments, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order.
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions, as needed and pursuant to the office policies.
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment.
• Draw blood for platelet-rich plasma injections.
• Have a team player attitude and energetic, with outstanding organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work under stressful environment, while assisting and supporting other team members, as needed.
• Become knowledgeable of healthcare administrative systems, billing, HIPAA and OSHA policies, pursuant to the federal, state and local law and Entière’s policies.
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities.
• Strong computer, software, and technology skills.

Certified Dermatology and Cosmetic Medical Assistant Skills and Qualifications

• Education / Experience: Medical assistant certificate with at least 12 months working as medical assistant in a dermatology practice.
• Must have a dermatology experience and knowledge and familiarity in assisting in cosmetic dermatology procedures such as lasers, energy-based treatments, injectables, and hair restoration.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, peers, and management with proper etiquette and professionalism.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to multitask, while being attentive to patients and remaining flexible to the needs of the practice. Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision.
• Other Skills: Enthusiastic, passionate, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to help people and provide outstanding service.
