Kiddie Academy of Murphy, a private preschool, is now hiring an Assistant Center Director

Kiddie Academy of Murphy, TX has an exciting leadership opportunity for an energetic, organized, and inspiring educator to join us as our Assistant Director. This position allows you to mesh your experience in early childhood education and small business management with your communications and creative skills to guide a passionate team of childcare professionals who make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in our community every day.

Job Responsibilities:
You are a key member of the school’s leadership team

  • Build school culture by developing and maintaining positive, inclusive environment and professional working relationship with academy staff
  • Assume full responsibility for academy management in director’s absence
  • Ensure compliance with Texas Childcare licensing, as well as all Kiddie Academy® standard operating procedures

You delight our parents and proactively resolve their concerns

  • Lead new admission onboarding
  • Maintain high retention rate by recognizing and resolving parents’ concerns and needs in a timely manner
  • Plan and lead bi-annual Parent- Teachers Conference along with Center Director

You will drive implementation of Kiddie Academy’s Life essentials curriculum Develop an in-depth knowledge of Kiddie Academy curriculum

  • Work with teachers to develop lesson plans and ensure implementation daily
  • Lead planning and development of annual Summer Program
  • You will help with recruiting, training, and retaining staff

Assist center director in recruitment efforts, interviews, and the hiring process

  • Assists in daily supervision of staff; keeps director apprised of staff concerns and situations needing attention
  • Assists in training staff to plan and implement developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
  • Manage any age classroom as a teacher if needed

Job Qualifications

  • A degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or related field, and/or at least 4 years' work experience in a licensed childcare facility
  • Must have administration experience (Assistant Director, Office Manager, Director, Curriculum Director)
  • Strongly prefer candidates with Texas Directors Certification or willingness to get certificated with 90 days of hire date
  • Must have professional teaching experience with infants to preschool children
  • Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations
  • Must meet all state specific requirements for the position
