Looking for a career change? Halvor Gold CDL Training will put you on the path to a great paying OTR truck driving job with Halvor Lines in no time! You’ll start in our Entry Level Driver Training Program, which gives you the tools you need to pass the CDL skills test:
After you pass the CDL exam, you move into our Finishing Program and head out on the road with one of our experienced driver trainers. You can choose between our 12 week Trainee to Trainer Finishing Program that gives you all the tools that you need to train a driver yourself (and earn extra pay), or our 4 week Finishing Program that gives you the confidence that you need to operate your own truck.
Once you complete the Finishing Program, you’ll hit the road as an OTR solo driver or trainer with Halvor Lines. Best of all, there's no cost to our program - we pay you throughout your training!

- Training facilities in Superior, WI and Inver Grove Heights, MN
- Four weeks of classroom and in-truck instruction
- Small class sizes and several instructors to provide plenty of individual instruction
- Lodging, transportation, and some meals provided
- Paid $1,000 per week

Job Requirements:
- Valid United States driver's license held for a minimum of two years
- Not cited for a major moving violation in the past three years
- No Part 382 (drug and alcohol) violations in the past three years
- No more than 4 jobs in the last 36 months
- 21 years of age or over
