Position Responsibilities:

  • Researches issues thoroughly and recommends actions using information identified through data analysis. Anticipates any upcoming situations / issues and proposes an action plan to address it.
  • Prepares special reports as required or upon request, summarizing data from various sources.
  • Establishes processes within the functional area to manage daily priorities and meet the needs of the department.
  • Acts as a guide within the respective team. Demonstrates a positive a "can do " and "team work " attitude, with a willingness to assist co-workers in the completion of daily tasks or special projects.
  • Communicates effectively with all parties and follows through on assigned tasks until resolved or completed.
  • Acts as a consultant for the assigned clients in the respective field.
  • Engages in honest and ethical conduct , using reasonable diligence to detect any problems or violations of the organization corporate Compliance Program.
  • Identifies gaps to create efficiencies through system enhancements.
  • Follows the National Patient Safety goals as required: Reduce the risk of health care-associated infections. Reduce the risk of patient harm resulting from falls.
  • Follows Patient Safety goals as established by the department; supports effective responses to adverse and sentinel events; provides an on-going proactive approach to reduce risk; integrates patient safety as a priority into new and existing processes.
  • Is available to participate as a member of either Team A or Team B of the Hurricane Activation Plan, as assigned.
  • Reports incidents to supervisor and Risk Management department within required timeframe in accordance with medical center policy.
  • Complies with current Hospital security and safety polices.
  • All other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Licensed, as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in the state of Florida.
  • Bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition of Dietetics from an accredited college or University. Master's Degree or Internship trough an accredited institution by The Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND®), formerly known as the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • 1-2 years working in healthcare setting using CBORD Nutritional Services Suite and EPIC Electronic Health Record software. Knowledge of database development and maintenance preferred.
