Join the INN crew of hospitality professionals as a Catering Sales Assistant!
Position pays $19 per hour.
The Inn at Perry Cabin is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Catering Sales Assistant who has a profound interest in hospitality, a strong desire to build industry knowledge, and a drive to meet the highest standards in our profession. The Catering Sales Assistant provides support to the Catering Sales and Service team. This position is the first point of contact for all wedding and social inquiries, and directly supports managers in the selling and servicing of weddings and social events.
Essential job functions
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists the department in receiving client inquiries and requests via phone and email.
- Accurately inputs all client and event information into property sales and catering software (Delphi.FDC).
- Maintains an accurate accounting of group contracts, payments and cutoff dates.
- Responsible weekly Banquet Event Order distribution and daily changes and revisions
- Responsible for weekly distribution of resumes.
- Responsible for communicating all site visits and VIP information as well as communicating department updates to the resort.
- Responsible for all office supply inventory and ordering.
- Work in Canva to create custom menus.
- Schedule and coordinate internal meetings as directed.
- Daily correspondence with clients on behalf of the Sales and Service Managers that include guest room reservation updates, event modifications, cancellations, and revisions.
- Working knowledge of all resort amenities and destination points of interest and how they are utilized by both leisure and group travelers.
Preferred qualifications
Education & Experience
- Previous experience working in a sales environment
- Experience in Food and Beverage preferred
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly in advanced Excel applications
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast and ever changing environment
- Previous experience working on a team a plus
- College degree preferred, but not required
- Must be able to effectively communicate in a luxury environment with full proficiency in English.
- Must be approachable, collaborative and have a willingness to learn
