• Experience with brand or vendor-management, including negotiations
• Passion for team development and building mechanisms of accountability
• Data Driven and strong analytical experience
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to ruthlessly prioritize and focus broader team on needle-moving initiatives
• Forward thinking with a passion for the retail industry
• College degree required.

Amazon Style is our first-ever physical fashion store where customers can find a selection of women’s and men’s apparel, shoes, and accessories. Using the Amazon Shopping app, customers can send items to a fitting room, where they can use a touchscreen to browse more options, rate items, and request more sizes or styles that are delivered directly to their room within minutes. We need a an experienced, results-oriented Fashion Category Leader with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive Style’s core business. The leader will use their fashion industry experience to drive Women’s and Men’s selection strategy and execution. This role will lead a team of Category Managers in defining the brands, price points and product types we offer our customers, as well as the specific styles that make up our selection, keeping a constant eye on data inputs, as well as relevant market and fashion trends.

Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will be energized by leading through ambiguity in a start-up environment and ready to make impactful decisions to drive Amazon Style’s business forward. They are excited to tackle complex work, combining a strong foundation of fashion industry knowledge with the leadership principles of dive deep, invent and simplify and deliver results. As a team leader, they will be expected to mentor and develop a strong team of Category Managers and be a role model of earns trust via exemplary cross-functional partnership.

• MBA
• Experience with buying both for a large physical retailer and for e-commerce businesses

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $222,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
