At shift beginning

• Check that all register equipment is functional
• Clean registers and equipment
• Make sure bags are stocked

Daily as needed

• Troubleshoot equipment issues or log service tickets through UpFront/FIXit
• Maintain register supplies (receipt paper, bags, etc.)
• Get cash advance from coin dispenser (Quantum / Smart Safe) for fuel / liquor
• Fill Money Card and Gift Card fixtures

For Staffed Lane Registers

• Request cash advance to make sure till has the proper amount of operating cash
• Check register tills in and out

Customer Service

• Greet, help and thank customers
• Position self where customer can see and invite customers to check out
• Assist customer with scanning, keying, and bagging merchandise
• Monitor customer basket for merchandise (BOB & LISA)
• Help customers with special services (WIC, EBT, Tax exempt, etc.)
• Follow the S.A.F.E. process for age-restricted items
• Sell lottery tickets
• Redeem lottery tickets
• Assist customers with tobacco purchases
• Assist customers with coupons
• Perform item look up for customer purchases
• Deactivate EAS source tags on customer purchases
• Manage Alpha S3 Handkey for anti-theft devices (Keeper cases)
• Ensure vendors who are not on VOLT sign in/out on vendor sign in log

For Staffed Lane Registers

• Process multiple payment types

For Self-Checkout Registers

• Monitor and respond to UpFront alerts and tri-light indicators

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
