A cashier is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per University Food Service standards, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, cash register operations and safeguarding University Dining Services assets. Must follow all OSU and UDS cash handling procedures. Ensure compliance to the standards, policies, procedures and best practices for Franchises and self-branded concepts. All other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time position that will not have scheduled hours during the month of mid-May to mid-August unless work is available.

Environment is noisy, with exposure to hot & cold extremes.

Requires good manual dexterity and the use of proper ergonomics.

High School/GED

One year of related cash handling experience.

• Able to follow written and oral instructions
• Able to organize work and work area for most efficient outcome
• Operate appropriate equipment for position
• Know and practice basic safety and sanitation standards

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in cashiering position.
