Overview:
hoots Restaurants offer fast casual dining with a limited, moderately-priced menu that features chicken wings, seafood and sandwiches. Together with beer, along with other food and beverage offerings and merchandise.
Responsibilities:
- The Front of House (FOH) Staff/ Cashier greets guests as well as suggestive selling of menu and merchandise items to the guests.
- The FOH Staff also takes food orders (entering orders into computers for transmittal to Back of House staff). Taking the order includes "to go" orders, bringing food to the counter, table, and/or designated areas, checking back for reorders, pre-bussing the counter and tables, and processing monetary transactions correctly. The FOH Staff is also responsible for making change for the guest, and all other steps of hoots hospitality.
- Interaction with all guests about menu items, including answering the phone is required.
- FOH Staff also participate in in-store and off-site promotions and must adhere to the hoots Uniform and Grooming guidelines.
- FOH Staff must check patrons’ identifications to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages, complete all side work duties, clean counters and tables after patrons have finished dining and inform patrons of specials. In addition, FOH Staff stock service areas with necessary supplies, remove dishes and glasses from counters and tables, take them to the back of the house for cleaning/sanitation, clean up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and remove empty bottles and trash.
- Locates items requested by customers, fill beverage or ice dispensers, stock cabinets or serving areas with condiments and restock bar and beverage areas. FOH Staff are required to carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from back of house or supply departments to serving areas, and maintain store floor safety (to include sweeping).
- Assists Back of House (BOH) with sanitation and hygiene duties, restock restroom supplies, and maintain cleanliness of restrooms. They may occasionally assist in trash disposal.
- Must be 18 years of age or older; of legal age to serve, pour, and clear alcoholic beverages if serving.
- Must have good customer service skills, through use of good language and communication skills.
- Ability to clearly present information through the spoken word; influence or persuade others through oral presentation in positive and negative circumstances.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule days/nights/weekends and holidays.
- Attend Orientation and agree to policies and procedures as outlined in the New Employee Handbook and New Hire Packet.
- Successfully complete the required alcohol awareness certification.
