CASAC Certified Alcohol & Substance Abuse Counselor- license req’d

As Certified Alcohol & Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all of the needs of the people supported in the program are met while working in partnership with them.
  • Ensuring rights are respected, supporting their health and safety and working with them to identify and realize their personal outcomes.
  • Leading a team of Direct Support Professionals and in conjunction with clinical providers working alongside the people they support
  • Ensuring that plans are both followed and documented in an appropriate and timely manner.

What you’ll need:

  • CASAC license by the Office of Professions
  • Bachelors or Masters in related field of study
  • Three years’ experience working with substance use population
  • Demonstrates organizational and communication skills which would enable effective interaction with fellow team members, individuals/clients/families and the community.
  • Critical thinking and sound judgment skills are necessary.
  • Experience with serving forensic population and working within legal systems.
  • Knowledge of community-based services for referral and collateral coordination.
