Sidney Location

Job Title: Location Pastor Status: Part-time / Exempt
Reports to: Lead Pastor & Catalyst Pastor Hours: 20 hours per week

Job Purpose:
To lead and minister to the congregants of Faith Chapel Sidney and the surrounding community. To oversee and direct the operation and ministry of the Sidney location, while implementing and carrying out the mission and core values of Faith Chapel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Inspire and lead Faith Chapel Sidney by example, with wisdom and enthusiasm.

o Make disciples and reach the spiritually unresolved.o Communicate clear vision for the Sidney location.o Develop ministry leaders.o Build, instill, and nurture a passion for reaching people far from Jesus. Be the advocate for those who do not yet have a relationship with Jesus. Build strategies and direct energy toward reaching the community. o Love and serve the church body, as well as the local community.o Set the pace for a passionate, eager community of believers.o Work to solve conflict and challenges within the church body and leadership team.o Develop a unique strategy to reach the specific community the location is targeting.o Devote time to model, recruit, disciple, and train others to keep the value of relational evangelism and discipleship high.o Perform pastoral duties and shepherd the church body. Provide guidance and prayer, perform weddings and funerals. Be available to the congregation before and after church services, as other duties allow. o Strive to promote Faith Chapel’s core values and ensure excellence.o Maintain theological unity with Foursquare, Faith Chapel, and the Lead Pastor.o Serve in the development and planning of new churches and new locations, as needed.

• Production: Create an engaging, worshipful, friendly weekend experience. Ensure that preparation and execution of the location weekend experience allows participants to engage with Jesus at the highest possible level.
• Coordination & Development: Operating with the “big picture” in mind, coordinate the weekend experience through various teams and leaders to prepare and execute weekend services (music, service transitions, and production). Check-in and coordinate with teams to ensure that their ministry is happening efficiently and in a timely manner. o Lead Guest Services and Kids Ministry teams. Recruit and develop team members.

o Develop an engaging children’s ministry program.o Develop small groups as the primary means of discipleship and care. Recruit, train, and release leaders who can facilitate midweek discipleship and spiritual growth.

• Planning & Scheduling: Schedule and coordinate baptisms, baby dedications, local outreach, and other expressions of the local church.

• Church Liaison: Manage relationships within and outside of the church, to benefit and enhance the town of Sidney. o Represent Faith Chapel Sidney to the community.

o Work in cooperation with existing churches for city-wide programs that impact Sidney in the name of Jesus.o Represent the church before governmental structures.o Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations regarding churches.

• Administration:

o Maintain comprehensive knowledge of location systems and protocols.o Communicate, collaborate, and report to Faith Chapel Billings Administration team,Communications team, and other Faith Chapel teams, as necessary.
o Oversee annual location budget.
o Work towards excellence with administration, being over-communicative with emails, texts, and phone calls.
o Follow all established policies, procedures, and standards, including but not limited to, financial, safety, volunteer screening, child protection, liability waivers, communications, benevolence, etc.

• Partnership: Coordinate and work in partnership with Faith Chapel Billings to lead and oversee the location as an extension of the vision and spiritual culture of Faith Chapel Billings.
• Stay current with ministry trends, by listening to resources, reading books and periodicals, and attending conferences.
• Connect with Catalyst Pastor every week, for approximately one hour.
• Connect in person, in Billings, for either a staff meeting or pastors meeting, once a month.
• Attend Foursquare District Conference.
• Attend or serve at a Faith Chapel summer camp and encourage others to serve as well.
• Attend staff meetings, retreats, and outreaches whenever possible, leading through example and enthusiasm.
• Maintain flexible working hours, as determined by the needs of the ministry.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor and/or the Catalyst Pastor.

General Qualification:

• Meets the scriptural requirements for an elder (1 Timothy 3:1-13, Titus 1:5-9).
• Maintains spiritual, moral, and physical standards pleasing to the Lord.
• Has a vibrant, dynamic, and contagious relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Has strong personal spiritual disciplines.
• Is involved in personal discipleship, either within the context of a small group or one-on-one.
• Passionate about Faith Chapel’s mission and loyal to the Lead Pastor.
• Leads by example and with enthusiasm.
• A hard-worker, exhibiting a strong work ethic that is characterized by being task-focused and people-friendly; self-motivated.
• A person of integrity in all dealings and relationships; able to be trusted to keep information confidential.
• Flexible to change in procedures and/or direction.
