W International is a world class metal fabricator located in Goose Creek, SC, specializing in complex critical weldments for the defense, aerospace, and commercial markets. Responsibilities of the Position Include:
- Maintain calibration system for quality control equipment.
- Perform calibration on inspection test equipment used to support product acceptance such as variable or attribute gaging, measuring tools, pressure gages, and shop floor standards.
- Generate equipment specification documents for calibration standards.
- Prepare and maintain test data for review.
- Able to interpret and read engineering drawings, company, and customer specifications to ensure accurate part manufacturing.
- Determines and issue proper gages necessary to inspect print characteristics.
- Inspect, audit, measure, and functionally test products or materials, parts, subassemblies, and packaging for damage, defects, or shortages, using specification sheets, gauges, and standards charts.
- Perform product and process audits for in process conformance to drawings/specification on large and small machined products, weldments, assemblies, and individual manufactured components.
- Assist the Quality team with Inspections, and perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be a sole US Citizen.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
- Willing to work in excess of 40 hours a week.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Manufacturing and Fabrication experience.
