Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Cafeteria Supervisor you will under general supervision, supervise the activities of food service personnel engaged in the preparation and serving of meals. You may occasionally have sole responsibility to open/close and supervise the food service department.

What you will do in this role:

• You will maintain or exceed department standards for accuracy, cost, appearance, quality, and timeliness.
• You will demonstrate, understand, and practice safe food handling techniques. Including dating/labeling, time/temperature measurements, correcting critical control issues.
• You will demonstrate leadership, initiative, and creativity in working with the food service employees to achieve the daily goals and tasks.
• You will encourage a team-oriented environment that enhances productivity and morale and assigns staff to accomplish daily tasks and goals.
• You will correct issues with food/equipment as quickly and appropriately as necessary to provide all customers with a quality product.
• You will complete all quality assurance and performance improvement projects accurately and in a timely manner.

What qualifications you will need:

• 2 years food service experience required.
• Food Handlers permit or must obtain during the first two weeks of hire date.
