Position Summary and Responsibilities

Teledyne Relays is seeking a Planner to be the focal in planning and preparing material purchases and production schedules to meet the Company sales goals by using your knowledge in analyzing current and historical data, MRP system reports and immediate circumstances to plan and coordinate the delivery and movement of material to ensure its availability to meet production requirements.

Essential duties:

  • Coordinate daily priorities to ensure material availability for both buy and make products
  • Plan, schedule, release, monitor and report material requisition and work order status to production schedule
  • Coordinates the efficient movement of material and work orders through the procurement and manufacturing cycle
  • Interface with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and others to support problem resolution to minimize impact to the production schedule
  • Routinely perform Supplier Risk Mitigation and continue to perform year over year negotiations to mitigate price and delivery impacts.
  • Provide shortage reports and recovery Line of Balance with revenue impacts until full recovery
  • Mitigate early receipt of material on a quarterly basis
  • Customer repair material support
  • Provides lead times and projected ship dates to the Demand Manager
  • All other assigned tasks as necessary to support achievement of Company and/or departmental objectives
  • Ensure that business is conducted with integrity and in compliance with all TDY process and procedures

Qualifications

  • At least a minimum of 5 - 8 years’ of experience in material/production planning and procurement in a mid-to-large company, preferably in manufacturing; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related field and minimum of years of directly related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Solid understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Material Review Planning (MRP) knowledge required
  • Knowledgeable and experience in electronic components required
  • APICS CPIM and or ISM Certified preferred
  • Basic knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100 strongly preferred
  • Greenbelt Lean Manufacturing 6 Sigma certificate or equivalent training preferred
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/ Kaizen preferred
  • Intermediate to advance knowledge of Microsoft Office applications tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must be able to travel to Supplier base locations
  • U.S. Person required due to ITAR restrictions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
