  • Requires extensive knowledge of DoD customer base, HM management concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Performs market research and initiates purchasing actions for critical items to prevent work stoppages and unforeseen zero balance inventory.
  • Frequently coordinates with technical or quality personnel to ensure vendor compliance with the item description.
  • Interpret HM data such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, and/or transportation.
  • Initiate Purchase orders with selected vendors after researching and determining best value to support mission requirements.
  • Provide ongoing analyses on transportation costs, HM procurement, back orders, or delivery processes.
  • Prepare operational reports on logistics performance measures.
  • Confer with logistics management team to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, and/ or minimize cost.
  • Maintain exceptional working knowledge of HMIDS and Deltek Costpoint with Warehouse Management System (WMS) including but not limited to computer navigation, work-related applications, report generation such as inventory management, order status, materials in storage, Min/Max volume, and safety stock levels.
  • Track HM flow from origin to CMS Warehouse and respond timely to customers and/or personnel throughout the organization.
  • Compute reporting metrics such as on-time delivery rates, order fulfillment rates, or inventory turns. • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Fully complies with the company’s safety instructions and procedures, including timely reporting of any accidents, injuries or incidents involving physical injury or illness.
  • Company employees shall abide by and enforce Company rules, policies and SOPs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • May be temporarily assigned to other duties as necessary to meet contract requirements.
  • Retain expertise of and follow Standard Operating Procedures, Process Instructions, and applicable DoD instruction manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain exceptional working knowledge of database and systems used/required.
  • Develop and produce required reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • May be temporarily assigned to other duties as necessary to meet contract requirements.
  • Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Company Internal Training Requirements, e.g. Indoctrination, SOPs, and On-the-job Task Training (OJT)
  • Other training as assigned.

  • Must be a Citizen of the United States.
  • Must possess a minimum of five years’ experience working in Procurement.
  • Three (3) years’ experience using Government supply systems, and HMMS or equivalent HM Tracking System.
  • Must be a Citizen of the United States.
  • Must always maintain a valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must pass criminal and financial background check prior to hire and must be able to pass and sustain the DLA PSI background check criteria during the entire duration of their employment.
  • Associate degree from an accredited 2-year college or university with a major in Chemical Management, Procurement, or related field desired; or 2-3 years' experience/background in procurement & purchasing.
  • Background in chemical purchasing and/ or chemical purchasing in the aerospace or defense industry highly desired.
  • Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations & legal requirements related to chemical procurement.
  • Effective team leading abilities including leadership, negotiation, organizational, planning, prioritization, and resource allocation skills.
  • Must present a neat and professional appearance IAW company policies and consistent with the workplace environment.
  • Must possess acceptable computer operations and database entry skills.
  • Must possess acceptable interpersonal, organization, communication, and customer service skills.
