Business Analysis
- Participates in business requirement meetings as required and collaborates with the Project Manager, the Business Partner, Systems Analysts and other stakeholders to develop business cases, high level plans and project closure documents
- Participates in user story development and prioritization with Product Owner and Scrum Team
- Conducts specific business analysis activities to support the Development Team
- Fine-tunes content of user stories to support Development team
- Develops functional test cases and supports testing efforts of Development Team
- Provides advice on best practice around business process design and improvement
- Analyzes and designs business processes based on business needs with the stakeholders
- Prepares documents such as business process diagrams, flowcharts, requirements documents, functional specifications, use cases, user stories, etc. and reviews with stakeholders
- Under the guidance of the Business Partner, works on the planning processes associated with the implementation of projects or business improvements
- Translates technical issues into plain language that stakeholders understand
- Facilitates workshops and training sessions with business users
- Participates in development of system documentation and training materials
Systems Analysis and Implementation
- Provides technical advice on the industry standards, design, usage, functionality, behavior, and user interface specifications and configuration parameters related to supported or proposed technologies and services to fit business needs.
- Collaborates with the Scrum Team and stakeholders to translate business needs into system improvements, and shares feedback on Product Increments
- Provides technical advice for determining the product technology and fit with the business needs
- Consults with subject matter experts
- Configures, tests, documents and implements systems
- Executes system tests and documents test results
- Develops and maintains procedures, system and user documentation
- Provides advice and assists in resolving support and maintenance issues
- Works closely with a dedicated group of self-organized cross functional professionals in a Scrum Team
- Provides technical advice and estimates items in the Product Backlog and Sprint Backlog
- Commits to a Sprint Goal in order to deliver working Product Increments of business value to the Product Owner at the end of the Sprint
- Updates the Scrum Team on accomplishments and plans working towards the Sprint Goal in the Daily Scrum Meeting
- Tracks progress towards the achievement of the Sprint Goal in the tool managing the Product Backlog
- Participates in the Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective Meetings

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant field required.
- Domain (Consumer & Retail Banking preferred) SME with 5+years of overall experience and 4+ years' experience working as a Systems or Business Analyst, documenting and testing requirements
- Experience in working with product owners, stakeholders, and tech staff
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and clarity of thought
- Independent and critical thinking experiences; able to go to the logical next step in a process with minimal direction
- Knowledge of Agile development practices
- Understanding and experiences with highly integrated enterprise level systems (both internal and web facing)
- Skill and experience in working as an end to end subject matter expert or functional analyst for a particular platform (experience with all phases of development lifecycle)
- Previous experience with analysis, design, configuration, and implementation
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques
- Previous Banking / Financial Services experience preferred
