Business Development Manager Summary:

AA Metals is looking for a Business Development Manager (Metal Sales) to join our growing team in Orlando, Florida, or our mill in Williamsport, PA. The role is responsible for developing key customer accounts in both existing markets and emerging product markets. Primary responsibilities encompass all commercial activities including purchase and sales order, supply chain management, go to market. The Business Development Manager will report to Sales Manager or Plant Manager.

Business Development Manager Essential Responsibilities:

  • Leading the development of accentuated growth strategy for new business alignment in Global Market.
  • Develop customer/supplier relationships, support business procurement and identify new business opportunities, aligned with the company’s strategy.
  • Develop transparency analyses on markets, customers, products, and competitors.
  • Assist the Sales Manager in the development and implementation of the commercial plan and the revenue growth strategy.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Development to develop the positioning and the differentiation strategy for the new business portfolio.

Business Development Manager Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree. Business Degree is preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 - 10 years' experience in metal related business development and 1-2 years management experience preferred.

Business Development Manager Competences:

  • Planning and organizing. Able to prioritize key tasks and hold team accountable to achieve goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization as well as external customers.
  • Ability to solve highly complex problems by working with cross-functional teams from IT, supply chain, logistics and BD Managers globally.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to the changes and manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change effectively. Proclivity for taking ownership of tasks and see them through successful execution with little hands-on direction.
