Purpose and Description

The Business Developer (BD), is responsible to improve Company’s market share and achieve financial growth. This position is responsible to improve profitability by bringing a consistent flow of profitable new and existing business in accordance with the sales and marketing plan. Define long-term strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate, and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of our current market conditions. Executes the sales and customer relations policies, maintains, and improves the Company’s competitive position to increase market share in both the Ohio and Indiana markets.

Deliverable #1 Sales

  • Hit or exceed GPM goals on division
  • Year one new sales increase of $350,000
  • Drive the full sales cycle to attain new business; make introductory calls, emails, qualify the opportunity, overcome the objections, and close the deal
  • Develop and maintain an ongoing record of existing and potential new customers in Aspire

Deliverable #2 Communication

  • Use transparent, responsive, and proactive communication skills and techniques to develop a good rapport with clients by meeting firm specific standards for client responsiveness.
  • Identify, contact, and build relationship with prospective customers through a combination of telephone and in-person calls
  • Attend weekly team meetings to discuss client needs and coordinate services with the Director of Operations and Field Supervisor.
  • Define long-term strategic goals

Deliverable #3 General Responsibilities

  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and meetings
  • Cold calling Business to Business
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Project a professional and appropriate Company image in all dealings with clients, vendors, business partners and visitors.
  • Ensure security of information in all matters pertaining to company, client, and consumer information

Skill Set and Experience Needed

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED). Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a development role
  • Demonstrated sales aptitude
  • Valid Driver’s license with the ability to meet company insurance requirements
  • Ability to pass background and drug screenings
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills are necessary in order to manage competing properties and client needs.
  • Problem-solving ability will be critical in order to provide proactive solutions and/or timely resolutions to clients.
