The Personal Investor Continuity team is looking for a Business Contingency Specialist to help evolve its current offer to meet the growing need of the Advice business within the division. Vanguard's Personal Investor division serves close to 7.5 million clients. With $3 trillion in assets under management, Personal Investor offers investors a variety of advice solutions, educational tools, and financial products such as: ETFs, brokerage account trading services, mutual funds, education savings, and annuities. As our Advice segment continues to grow, so does the need for robust contingency plans and business resiliency to ensure reliable delivery of high-quality advisory services to our clients. This exciting and crucial role leads the contingency program directly aligned to the advice components of our Personal Advisor Services and Wealth Management sub-divisions. You'll also work in close conjunction with our enterprise Business Continuity within Global Risk & Security, as well as key business partners in Client Experience & Digital, Risk, Office of the General Counsel, and IT. You'll be responsible for Personal Investor’s Advice contingency strategy and driving our resiliency, crisis management, and contingency plan capabilities. In this role, you will:

• Assist with the development and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans and emergency response. Provide direction on the operating strategies for the continuation of business within a recovery time objective. Act as a point of escalation for junior peers.
• Identify and quantify the potential impact of various disruptions and disaster scenarios. Make recommendations and elevate to management.
• Monitor and report on the compliance of business continuity processes, readiness, events and exercise results.
• Provide training, maintenance, and support for approved contingency planning tools and plans. Share information on enterprise continuity processes, standards and initiatives.

What you'll need:

• Minimum of five years related work experience, with experience in business contingency or disaster recovery management.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Computer sciences, Information Technology, or business-related degree preferred.
• Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) is preferred.
