Job Description

The Business Analyst aims to understand and analyze user and business needs, and contextualize them within the services or products provided by Olympus IT. The Business Analyst works closely with other delivery team members – e.g., product owners, engineers, and testers, as well as business stakeholders and subject matter experts, to release working software.


Using their business analysis and business process improvement skills, the Business Analyst investigates, analyzes, and articulates business problems and concepts, as well as opportunities for service improvement. The Business Analyst should be able to put their findings in the context of the organization’s enterprise architecture to account for the capabilities, business objectives, strategy, people, data, and processes that make up the business’ operating model.

Job Duties

  • Work effectively with end users, leveraging excellent communication skills to identify, elicit and categorize requirements and pass these back to the development team.


  • Support in designing and building processes to address business issues and drive insight to support the exploration of business opportunities.


  • Identify gaps in requirements to ensure appropriate functionality is provide for end-users.


  • Collaborate with test engineers to ensure the requirements produced are viable for working software.


  • Continuously learn about new technology or advances in existing technology, which can improve end-user experience.


  • Analyze and manage risks.


  • Define measurable business objectives.


  • Other responsibilities / duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or other related field (or equivalent and related experience).


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of business analysis.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Excellent problem-solving skills and quantitative thinking.


  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology to work effectively in an agile team.


  • Good verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate analysis clearly and precisely to provide business insights also for non-technical stakeholders.


  • Demonstrable analytical and conceptual thinking.


  • Detail orientated.
