Farstad Oil is seeking CDL Hazmat Fuel Drivers to join our team! In this role you will load and transport bulk gas & fuel to a variety of our customers.
Location: Glendive, MT & surrounding areas
Starting Wage: $25-$28 per hour (DOE)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Class B CDL
- Tanker, Hazmat endorsements preferred (not required at time of application, but required at time of hire)
- Current DOT Medical Card required at time of hire
- Clean driving record
- TWIC preferred, but not required
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment DOT drug screen and background check
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to drive/work in all traffic and weather conditions
- Able and willing to work up to 14-hour days, 70-hour weeks
- Ability to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods
- Ability to maneuver drums, hoses, and other equipment regularly
- Proficient verbal communication skills and the ability to listen, understand and follow directions
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Ability to make timely, safe, and sound decisions
- Ability to handle multiple projects, manage workflows, and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to work within constantly changing priorities
- Ability to do basic math
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment in a professional manner
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform truck/equipment pre- and post- trip inspections; logging all inspections and reporting deficiency’s to manager
- Transportation of all loads safely; including loading at terminals, bulk plants, warehouse, etc in accordance with all regulations.
- Fill out appropriate logs and invoice/bill of lading
- Use on-board truck technology
- Perform duties in aid to general care and maintenance of equipment, building and yard.
