Position Summary

EBCE is seeking an Building Electrification Channel Manager reporting to the VP of Local Development, Electrification and Innovation. This role will manage existing programs and lead the development, administration, and implementation of multiple new electrification programs. In this position you will ensure that EBCE’s programs achieve strategic objectives and priorities by designing programs, evaluating and developing new business and partnership opportunities, managing program contractors and tracking program data.

Position Details

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee management of EBCE’s Electrification programs and related solicitations, consultant contracts and/or agreements.
  • Develop and manage a network of electrification equipment suppliers and installers.
  • Maintain and expand relevant partner relations in the building electrification industry to deliver a comprehensive solutions channel for EBCE.
  • Further develop a structured, standardized approach to vetting, selecting, measuring and maintaining a variety of relevant industry partnerships.
  • Create guidelines and processes for lead management, information sharing and performance management among partner organizations.
  • Develop metrics for program success and monitor activities to engage in continual improvement across all EBCE programs
  • Provide channel-style programs support that drives program implementation of EBCE’S Electrification-related programs (i.e., Health-e Homes and Health-e Communities Initiatives).
  • Develop and execute requests for proposals (RFPs) including defining objectives and evaluation criteria, coordinating with communications team for publication, evaluating proposals, and recommending awards.
  • Assist in developing partnerships and program implementation for local energy programs including storage, building electrification and renewables. Includes evaluating program options, developing justifications for proposed strategies, and soliciting and taking input from stakeholders and regional partners to refine strategies.
  • Support program management including development of contracts, assessing vendor budget and timelines, evaluating effectiveness and quality of work, recommending remedial actions when needed.
  • Support any required Board of Director updates or actions through development of Board memos and coordination with EBCE’s legal team.
  • Work collaboratively within EBCE with the Regulatory, Power Procurement, Marketing and Technology & Analytics teams on cross functional priorities related to rate design, customer engagement and satisfaction, integrated resource planning, and local program design.
  • Create internal models to support various analysis and workflows across program areas.
  • Interact with EBCE’s Salesforce environment to develop new programs, maintain existing programs, develop reports, and manage customer interactions.
  • Develop timelines, manage deliverables and coordinate execution with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supervise and manage direct reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience working in transactional energy roles or 8+ years experience equivalent experience without a college degree.
  • Dedicated experience with energy and/or building electrification programs, with demonstrated track record of establishing and delivering strategic outcomes, while working at a public agency, load serving entity/utility, energy services company, or NGO
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Ability to self-direct and manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and quickly adapt in a fast-paced, highly fluid environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (bilingual a plus.)
  • Working knowledge of basic software programs including Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $146,202 - $161,517. The exact compensation package offered will be dependent on candidate experience.

Location and Working Conditions

This position will be based in EBCE headquarters in Oakland, near BART. EBCE's team has a hybrid approach inclusive of in-office and remote work. This role is expected to go into the office 2-3 days a week. We are not providing relocation or sponsorships currently.
