Cox-Powell Corporation has an immediate opening for an experienced Building Controls Automation Division Manager.

Position Description:

This position has multi-tiered responsibilities; Sales, Management and Field operations responsibility. You will be responsible for insuring that all Controls related projects are completed in a professional first class manner and that customer s expectations are met 100%. You will oversee all control related activities with responsibilities to the Gross Profit Line. You will report to the General Manager with additional direction from the Service Operations Manager.

Essential Functions:

• Responsibility to fulfill all company Control projects commitments.
• Design Building Automation System s for customers, create a bill of material list, gather and organize a submittal package, perform the programming and graphics, oversee the installation of the controls and assist installation as needed.
• Gather quotes on materials, calculate labor hours, coordinate and order all materials related to the control project and present to the customer a proposal document for work to be completed.
• Direct and assist electricians and mechanics to install wire/conduit and dampers or valves as needed. You will terminate all control wiring, test and commission all controllers.
• Manage the project with the electrical and mechanical departments to project completion. Provide onsite direction to fellow employees to get the project completed safely and on time.
• Provide technical service for existing and future control systems as needed. Find and source solutions to solve problems. Make repairs as needed. Repairs may require work after normal business hours.
• Walk through and punch out project when complete, fill out appropriate forms and file in job file.
• Assist with sales related to controls projects, meet with customers, present and discuss the advantages of working with Cox-Powell and using Honeywell controls products. You will go with another sales person from Cox-Powell until we feel you can represent the company well on your own.
• Gather information from an existing building s mechanical/electrical and or controls system, perform takeoffs from blueprints, design a BAS system for a building and put a price together. All pricing will be evaluated by the General Manager or VP of operations.
• Provide training to staff and customers on newly installed systems.
• Contribute productive ideas to enhance the company s Control Division sales and marketing programs.
• The quality of work and expertise of the control division is imperative. The expectation is that recommendations will be made continuously to on how better the skillsets of the team and to maintain a high level of quality workmanship.

Education and Experience Guidelines:

Previous managerial experience in Controls along with an understanding of mechanical systems and to be able to interpret drawings, equipment, and remote computer interface systems.
