Who is a Bealls Clerk – Receiving?


Motivated, efficient, self-starter! You will be responsible for driving sales through product unload, processing, and merchandising efficiencies. You will be a part of a team that maintains high guest readiness standards and delivers a neat, clean, and easy to shop store environment. This position reports to the Dock Lead and will have extensive interaction with store management team.

As a Clerk – Receiving every day is different, but a typical day includes the following:
  • Being part of a team that delivers a legendary guest experience and drives sales through customer service
  • Unloading merchandise from truck
  • Processing merchandise received and preparing stock for selling floor placement
  • Executing timely implementation of store merchandising direction, standards, product flow, inventory flexing, adjacencies, plan-o-grams, and store operations functions to ensure consistency of brand experience
  • Maintaining organization and housekeeping duties in receiving areas
  • Engaging in teamwork to accomplish goals
  • Performing all tasks safely to prevent guest and employee accidents
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What we are looking for in a Bealls Clerk – Receiving:
  • Prior receiving, processing, merchandising, or customer service experience preferred
  • Must have strong verbal communication skills
  • Work both independently and with a team to accomplish tasks, solve problems, and achieve goals
  • Helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
  • Utilization of Zebra PDA and POS Systems
  • Ability to work varying hours and schedules to include days, mid shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Demands
  • Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing, and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry at least 30 pounds
  • Must have full body rotation and mobility (i.e. – bending, stopping, twisting, and reaching)
  • Must be able to climb a 12ft ladder for maintaining and displaying merchandise
  • Must be able to reach a minimum of 60 inches for stocking and maintaining merchandise
  • Must possess reliable transportation
