Brewery Driver / Yard Hostler for Deschutes Brewery
Job description
Primary responsibilities of this position are to support the Packaging and Shipping teams by moving packaged product in an efficient, timely and safe manner from the upper loading dock to the warehouse. Pallets then need to be off loaded by forklift and organized properly in the warehouse using an ERP system. Will assist with preventative maintenance on the tractor trailer. Safety and a sharp eye for detail are top priorities. Class A CDL is required. This is a full-time benefited position. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, ESOP, and paid vacation.
Position requirements:
- Class A CDL w/a clean driving record and clear drug testing record with ODOT
- Strong, proven forklift experience
- Warehouse organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Highly self motivated with ability to work independently
- Knowledge of and ability to follow safety standards
- Strong integrity and work ethics
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Sound communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- ERP or barcode tracking experience
- Excel, Outlook and Word
- Experience in a fast-paced production environment
- Most important, a positive outlook
