Job description

Laurel Ag & Water is looking for a self-motivated, exceptional Branch Operations Manager. As a key member of the Procurement and Supply Chain team, the Branch Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the shipping/receiving, retail, inventory, assembly/fabrication, and facilities in the warehouse. They will ensure that all employees are working efficiently and safely, monitor inventory levels, and make sure that products are handled properly throughout the shipping process. Laurel is looking for a strong hands-on Branch Operations Manager with a proven track record of being an essential part of the processes in a warehouse. This role will report to the VP Procurement & Supply Chain.

This person will be passionate about understanding our customer's needs and creating solutions that maximize our performance at Laurel. The Branch Operations Manager is expected to be a team player that lives Laurel's cultural values, sets an example for others, and enhances the culture. They should also have communication skills to inspire others as a peer and team builder.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Oversight of warehouse/branch operations: Develop playbooks and KPIs for
    • Retail/Inside Sales
    • Warehouse (shipping, packing, receiving, inventory management)
    • Fabrication and assembly
    • Construction coordination
    • Logistics

  • Experience overseeing P&L finances
  • Experience in a customer facing/service role
  • ID, implement and maintain “FREE” controls
  • Flexible
  • Replicable

  • Expandable
  • Develop process consistency
  • Work with Netsuite Team to develop tools for warehouse managers
    • Facilitate best practice training
    • Responsible for facilities management (clean, admin stock, security, safety)
    • Site Functional oversight:
      • o Warehouse
      • o Fabrication
      • o Facilities
      • o Retail
      • o Asset maintenance
      • o CAPEX
      • o Inside Sales (report to VP Sales)
  • Maintaining ICE: Customer first mentality environment
  • Maintain accurate costs and pricing
  • Provide consistent feedback on supply chain, material, etc difficulties and errors with other department leaders
  • Maintain appropriate stocking levels
  • Oversee and maintain accurate inventory controls (AQ, QOH, cycle counts, EOY audit)
  • Maintain FREE assembly, fabrication schedule
  • Ensure successful inventory sharing across locations
  • Maintain ICE for internal stakeholders (construction)
  • Equipment maintenance and stocking
  • Clean and organized packing and job staging
