Compensation Range: $18-22/hr.

Compensation will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience


Job Description


The Bookstore/Gift Shop Coordinator coordinates the operations of the bookstore, including sales, merchandising and daily register functions as well as promoting recovery to our clients and recovery community by providing friendly and courteous service and recovery merchandise to bookstore customers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and maintaining the store operations during scheduled bookstore open hours
  • Keeping the store well stocked and clean, writing, placing, and receiving orders of inventory and merchandise.
  • Coordinating the “buying function”, that is making sure the store has “fresh” and new items, as well as adequate supplies of needed routine items and top sellers.
  • Coordinate and maintain the register, cash, daily close-out and reconciliation of the day's sales and cash.
  • The running and coordination of the bookstore functions encompasses both when the coordinator is the only staff as well as when bookstore has additional staff(s) to enable the store to have expanded hours.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience
  • 1-year of sobriety if recovering
  • Some previous office experience preferred
