POSITION TITLE:BMM Cope and Drag Crane Operator
DEPARTMENT:Side Floor Molding
POSITION NUMBER:4233
REPORTS TO:Side Floor Molding Supervisor
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Transport mold halves from machine to Core & Close Conveyor
- Roll over and set Drag on bottom board.
- Keep pins, clamps, and bottom boards at molding units.
- Inspect cables and hooks on crane; check mold slings for wear.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Wear prescribed safety equipment and follow safety procedures.
JOB KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Must be capable and skilled at operating a crane.
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs on a continuous basis.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Foundry Environment.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures.
- Exposure to high noise levels.
- Exposure to dirt and fumes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma/GED preferred.
-1 - 3 years previous experience preferred.
