Garver’s Buildings Team is looking for a BIM/ CAD Technician that can work with a diverse team of building experts to bring innovative solutions to our communities.
Job Summary
BIM/CAD Technician I is a skilled drafting/modeling position on the Buildings Team. Under regular supervision, the BIM/CAD Technician I performs basic technical drafting/modeling work using AutoCAD and/or Revit software in the preparation of construction drawings in accordance with company and industry standards and performs related duties as assigned.
Typical Tasks
Typical tasks that the BIM/ CAD Technician will work on include setting up models in Revit, sheet setup, drafting technically correct depictions of engineers’ designs, scanning of original drawings, redline edits, plotting, and tracking updates.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of structural drafting and design
  • 3-5 years of experience with AutoCAD and Revit software and drafting media
  • Basic system administration techniques as required to move data and files between applications and network locations
  • Can communicate in English with accuracy and detail
  • Demonstrate initiative while working independently or as part of a team
  • Manage multiple assignments concurrently
  • Be responsible for time/deadline management and product quality
Required Education:
  • Possessing or pursuing an Associate Degree in Computer-Aided Design/Drafting
  • Possessing or pursuing an Associate Degree in Construction Technology
  • Trade School or Vocational School Technical Certificate in a related field
  • Equivalent experience (one year full-time minimum)
