  • Wages: The candidate will start at $16.00 per hour, and the wage may increase up to $20.80 per hour as job knowledge and experience progresses, our most experienced employees are currently capping out at $25.60 before lead experience
  • Hiring Timeline: 3 - 4 weeks
  • Reports To: Production Manager

Introduction

VCS Billing serves the multi-family/multi-unit property management sector for sub-metered electric, gas, and water systems for residential and commercial accounts. We are seeking to add to our diverse and specialized team.

Hours range approximately from 8 AM to 6 PM, Mon-Fri, and paid overtime/Sat as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Working with proprietary billing software and other software as listed further below.
  • Working with LCS Rent Manager software.
  • Managing client accounts to provide them with excellent client service and support.
  • Communicating with clients via email and phone in a business-responsive manner.
  • Performing accurate data entry of client accounts for residential and commercial billing.
  • Performing basic utility billing analysis for electric, gas, and water systems for residential and commercial accounts. This includes being able to recognize utility usage patterns and trends and taking appropriate action as necessary.
  • Learning, understanding, and adhering to the regulatory, compliance, and policy requirements of the job and industry, along with best practices of the job.
  • Assisting other departments with various misc. tasks.

Requirements

  • The ability to work independently and remotely from home, once certain training requirements have been met.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, and results-driven environment.
  • A high degree of attention to detail, care, consideration of the job, and trustworthiness.
  • Strong data entry skills, particularly 10-key by touch, and adequate typing speed/accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills (client interactions by phone and written/email).
  • Strong willingness to contribute to team effort by accomplishing related goals as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills in working with both physical files and computer files/data.
  • Adept numeracy skills to support working with numbers on a daily basis (basic math, units of measurement, unit quantities, percentages).

Skills We Seek

  • Working with databases and historical records (data entry/input).
  • Using Microsoft Windows-based workstation systems (Win10 Pro).
  • Using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
  • Using Google Business G Suite (Gmail).
  • Using command-line environments for data-entry purposes.
  • Using spreadsheets for simple formulas and concepts.
  • Understanding of PDF and related basic concepts.
  • Simple report running and basic analysis.
