McAnany, Van Cleave & Phillips, P.A. (MVP Law) is looking for Billing Specialist to join our Kansas City, MO team and help us meet the needs of our growing practice. With a physical office space in Kansas City, MO and the technology and tools to maintain a remote practice, this position offers the flexibility of a remote or hybrid work arrangement. We are looking for curious, intelligent, and creative individuals to join our firm and be part of our fast-paced and rewarding environment as we continue to redefine the law firm experience and forge our own path to the meet the needs of our clients and employees, as we have been doing since 1901.

A typical day in this role will include lots of variety such as client billing, investigation and follow-up on billing issues, and interaction with your team, business units, and attorneys.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or other related field of study or equivalent experience in a comparable role
• 2 or more years prior relevant experience in a law or professional services firm
• Prior law firm experience highly preferred, but we're prepared to train for someone with an aptitude for the work
• Proficiency in a variety of technology platforms, including Microsoft Office and third-party billing software
• Well organized and strong attention to detail
• Superior collaboration, teamwork, communication, flexibility, and self-sufficiency skills
