Lotus Behavioral Health Inc in Baltimore, MD is looking for one billing specialist to join our 18 person strong team. We are located on 1800 N. Charles St Suite 808. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Input Payroll and Accounts Payable Information for Medicaid billing Report

*Input payroll and account payable data into a standardized Microsoft Excel template that will be transferred to Medicaid billing report – Form CMS 1500. *Ensures payments by verifying accuracy of Medicaid coding. *Bills Insurance & Medicaid carrier by inputting billing information to database; initiating electronic transmissions. *Resolves disputed claims by gathering, verifying, and providing additional information; following-up on claims within 24 business hrs. *Resolves discrepancies by examining and evaluating data; selecting corrective steps in a time efficient manner. *Prepares monthly reports of Medicaid billing by summarizing billings, adjustments, and revenues received. *Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; keeping current on Medicaid billing and reimbursement procedures

Qualifications

*Signed service agreement, *Signed Integrity Clause *Meet Mondays for Supervision *Audited every 120 calendar days *Operates on FY; July 1 -June30
