BILLING REPRESENTATIVE - PATIENT ACCOUNTING
Job description
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure timely and accurate claims are submitted to third party payors; including processing of claim edits, submission of initial claims, claim corrections, and claim rejections.
Responsible for timely and accurate insurance accounts receivable follow up within assigned split; reconsiderations, appeals, payor secure messaging, adjustment requests, etc. Assigned A/R greater than 90 days at less than 30% of total assigned A/R.
Process payor correspondence (mail and explanation of benefits). Discuss account status and insurance processing with patients and document all communication with patients and payors within the Information System.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Previous insurance billing experience preferred.
