Job description
Associated Clinic of Psychology (ACP) is hiring a full-time Medical Billing and Collections, Specialist, to join our billing and collections team at our administrative location. This person's main responsibilities will include insurance payment posting, working denials and rejections, and agings and insurance verification for our clinics and nursing home services. Additional duties will also involve answering client calls, requesting authorizations, assisting with a daily deposit, the monthly statement runs, collection calls, and other general business office functions.
This person will utilize vital customer service and communication skills. Confidential working relationships with management, clinical staff, administrative staff, and clients must be maintained in carrying out the position's requirements. Must exercise sound judgment and discretion, and demonstrate initiative, loyalty, cooperation, and dependability when performing assigned tasks and responsibilities.
This position will be based at our ACP Corporate Office (4240 Park Glen Rd, St. Louis Park, MN 55416).

Requirements:
- A high school diploma
- At least 2 years of medical billing or insurance verification experience is required; ARMHS and CTSS billing experience is a plus
- Excellent math and basic accounting skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous computer entry experience with the ability to learn new applications and work processes
- Good prioritization skills, data entry skills, dependable and team player
- Good multi-tasking and critical thinking skills
- Ability to promote and maintain a flexible, positive, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude within and between departments
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail, follow-through, and commitment to quality
- Demonstrate a “can-do” spirit, a sense of optimism, ownership, and commitment
- High level of professionalism and demonstrated comfort level in speaking directly to external and internal customers/vendors

- Experience with Insurance Verification, claims processing, and Practice Management Systems: Credible
