Location: Remote-WFH*

Compensation: $16.00-$18.00

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week

The Role:

As a Billing Prior Authorization Specialist, you play a key role in obtaining referral and authorization for services within the billing department. Additional responsibilities include:

• Enters new patients’ and existing patient's data into the computer
• Obtains referrals for services
• Obtains appropriate authorizations for services
• Gathers medical records to submit to insurance for proper authorization
• Provides patients with estimated cost for services
• Finalizes the appropriate data for accounts
• Maintains tracking of authorization limits
• Obtains referrals for medical services
• Infrequent travel by vehicle or airplane
• Other projects and duties as assigned

Professional with strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, verbal and written. Has the ability to multitask, learn quickly, work in a fast-paced environment, work independently and problem solve.

Minimum Requirements to be considered:

• Candidates will need to provide and use a home computer or laptop (not a Chromebook).
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of one-year experience with physician billing
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft product suite and Internet
• Typing speed of 60 words per minute or more
• A knowledge of chemical dependency and its effects on individuals, families, and communities is required
