Kenosha Community Health Center is looking for Full Time and Part Time Patient Service Representatives to work in its multiple locations within Kenosha County, including its newest division, Pillar Health!

POSITION SUMMARY

The Patient Services Representative (PSR) is to provide exceptional patient care by creating a patient service experience that is phenomenal for each and every patient visit. The PSR works as a partner in the clinic together with the providers, clinical staff, other office staff and manager to provide a welcoming, caring and healing environment for patients. Where this position deals directly with patients and family members, the PSR is responsible to ensure that patients' needs are listened to, understood and resolved. By doing this, the PSR primarily completes the tasks of scheduling appointments, creating and maintaining a waitlist and performing various clerical duties in a professional manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

· Greet all patients and guests into the clinic and interact with all patients over the phone in a professional and courteous manner, adhering to the Customer Service Policy Guidelines.

· Maintain patient confidentiality and functions within the guidelines of HIPAA.

· Interpret scheduling templates and appropriately schedule appointments per scheduling guidelines.

· Verify and update patient insurance information and selecting the correct plan for dental, medical and behavioral health.

· Understand and inform patients of balances they owe in a professional manner.

· Inform patients when proof of income is required in a professional manner.

· Understand and interpret insurance rules and regulations, especially those related to prior authorization.

· Function well while involved in multiple tasks and assignments.

· Concentrate on details while experiencing frequent interruptions.

· Shred all patient paperwork that is not needed.

· Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma/GED required. Six to twelve months related experience preferred. Customer Service experience in a dental or medical clinic preferred. Prior experience with using an Electronic Health Record preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to communicate in Spanish (oral and written) preferred.

WORK SCHEDULE

Availability to work up to 40 hours during clinic operating hours, typically Monday – Thursday, 7am – 7pm, Friday, 7am – 5pm and rotating Saturdays 7am – 3pm.

Pay to commensurate with experience.

*Full-time PSRs hired Between March 1, 2023 through May 1, 2023, will be eligible to receive a hiring bonus paid in 4 equal installments, every 6 months. Employee must be actively employed to receive payout and maintain perfect attendance within the first 90 days.
