We are seeking a Bilingual Receptionist/Medical Assistant who can answer phones and provide assistance throughout the medical office. The ideal candidate for this position will have prior experience in a medical office and will have exceptional communication skills in both English and Spanish. A successful candidate will be able to work well with a team, and work independently from a computer to enter data and answer telephones.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general information about the business.
  • Answer telephones in a timely manner, act as a liaison between customers and staff and complete general clerical duties.
  • Understand commonly used medical terms.
  • Communicate with providers over the phone and via email.
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, pateint history, and reason for seeking care.
  • Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocol.
  • Perform basic triage per specific office protocol procedures.
  • Document work processes, as required.
