What does it mean to be a Benefits Specialist at Supplemental Health Care?

Provide exceptional customer service, communication, administration & coordination of the medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and all other benefits offered by the Company. This position will provide administrative support to all HR functions. Manages and contributes to multiple Human Resource projects while using Company core values of Integrity, Candor, Accountability, Respect and Excellence.

What your day-to-day looks like:

  • Provides support to Office and Field talent for their benefits open enrollment
  • Coordinate daily benefit processing including enrollment & terminations of employees in benefit plan
  • Maintain electronic employee benefit file database & updating of employee payroll records
  • Provides support to our corporate recruitment team around scheduling, I-9 administration, and new hire paperwork
  • Pulls reports and works on excel spreadsheets to support the benefits team
  • 401k reporting support
  • Answer phone calls and respond to email questions about our medical plans and open enrollment
  • Provides immediate and detailed feedback for all requests
  • Help to create an environment of high morale, motivation and teamwork
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will possess to succeed:

  • Minimum of 1 year customer service experience
  • 1-2 years of college level education
  • Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling and rules of composition
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members
  • Ability to work independently and with other team members
  • Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to maintain a great degree of confidence
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of computers and software systems including Microsoft Office products and the Internet; Must be adept in use of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Must have a willingness to learn and change with the organization
  • Must be able to work for prolonged periods of sitting, typing and use of the phone and computer
  • Maintain a mature problem-solving attitude under stressful conditions
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Must successfully complete onboarding training/tutorials and attend future webcasts/trainings as required

Pay Range: Base Pay is between $18 to $20 an hour depending on experience

Salary range may vary due to different state requirements
