Position Overview

As a Benefits Analyst you will be responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability, 401(k) plan, and voluntary benefit offerings. You will provide day-to-day employee benefits support for all team member health and welfare plans including enrollments, changes, and separations. You will also support the Sr Benefit Analyst roles in gathering analytics for key project initiatives.

Job Description

Full Time, Remote Role

You will contribute by:
Administering the daily and periodic tasks associated with benefit plan enrollment. Processing enrollment changes for new hires and life events in Workday. Reviewing and approving benefit tasks within the Workday platform.

Reviewing documents and determine dependent eligibility for health and welfare plans. Manage out-reach to employees on any required documents necessary to complete enrollment tasks.

Auditing and ensuring accuracy of benefits enrollment data in benefits, vendor, and payroll systems. Monitoring and reviewing weekly benefits integrations and coordinate with external vendors and carriers to resolve any errors.

Providing information to employees and managers on benefit-related questions; researching and resolving employee benefit issues. Working closely with internal HR Shared Services Center to communicate process changes and to resolve escalated benefit related issues.

Documenting current internal and employee-facing processes and help to design communications for employees regarding benefit actions/events. Collaborating with the Benefits Analyst to ensure adherence to define processes. Identifying and making recommendations for process and program improvements.

Supporting the annual benefits open enrollment process, including system configurations and testing with external vendors and Payroll.

Participating in benefit integration projects, including any merger and acquisition projects. Assisting Sr Benefits Administrator with various project initiatives. Responsible for key retirement plan and billing functions for union populations. Performing other duties as assigned.

We’re searching for candidates with:
Knowledge of health, welfare, benefits, and retirement concepts/fundamentals

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Outstanding attention to detail

Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting

Capability to multitask/prioritize work

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google. Strong analytical skills

Ability to maintain sensitive/confidential information

Self-starter: ability to work with minimal supervision

Benefits specialist experience a plus

2-5 years’ experience in benefits administration, human resources, or related work

Environment:
Office: Office Temperature (65F to 75F)
