Bearhouse Worker II - 2nd Shift Full Time (Inventory Control)
Job description
Following direction of the Warehouse Supervisor and Lead, the Bearhouse Worker II is responsible for checking inventory levels and reporting issues to leadership in a timely manner. Must be able to operate a motorized vehicle (forklift, turret truck, etc) with the assistance of a radio frequency scanner and walkie talkie.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operate machinery and us RF device
- Not afraid of heights
- Detail oriented with inventory control experience preferred
- Accurately and timely report issues to leadership
- Flexible schedule to include OT as needed
- Task driven with the ability to complete tasks without constant supervision
- Cycle counting inventory (ability to do basic math is a MUST!)
- Correct inventory as needed
Qualifications include:
- 1-2 years prior distribution/warehouse or logistics experience or equivalent. RF equipment knowledge
- Forklift/turret truck certification, must be willing to operate all types of equipment not just forklift only
- Preferred level of experience: 3-5 prior distribution experience.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or a GED certificate. Associate degree or equivalent business experience preferred.
- Ability to stand/walk/sit/talk/hear for up to 8 hours or more per day. Lift or move 50lbs frequently. Ability to use hands, fingers, reach with arms, stoop, kneel and bend. Ability to climb stairs several times a day. Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled facility. Must be able to work in different heights on equipment (Order picker or Turret truck)
- Must be able to work occasional overtime through the week/weekends as needed. May be asked to rotate to 1st shift occasionally as needed
- Accuracy and attention to detail; ability to multi-task.
- RF equipment knowledge preferred.
- Ability to adhere to all safety standards.
- Reliable, dependable. Accepts supervision.
- Flexible and adaptable to change.
