We are looking for a BDC Manager to join our growing team!

The Business Development Center Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and controlling the activities of the Business Development Center in order to achieve the established standards for production with regard to setting appointments for the sales department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department.
  • Promote communication and teamwork with all other departments.
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of all business development center employees.
  • Direct and schedule the activities of all department employees.
  • Communicate and enforce the dealership policies and procedures.
  • Guide sales staff in setting their objectives.
  • Identify those staff who require additional training or counseling if they are failing to meet their objectives.
  • Recommend for dismissal any business development center employee failing to meet company standards.
  • Attend meetings and training as scheduled.
  • Understand and stay abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect the call center and automobile sales industry.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
