Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is searching for a Batch Plant Operator Lead for our location in Fort Pierce, FL. As a Batch Plant Operator Lead, you’ll be responsible for, but not limited to, leading the operation of equipment that mix/blend materials such as cement, aggregate and water to create high strength concrete used in the production process. The Batch Plant Lead Operator will also be responsible for maintaining this equipment.

What You’ll Do:

• Follow all safety procedures, plant policies and Batch Plant work instructions
• Report to Plant Manager any personnel, material or equipment issues
• Oversee/generate concrete mixes using batching equipment during shift that conform to specifications
• Oversee the collection of concrete batch data
• Communicate with QC department, engineering and plant personnel of any material variances
• Ensure the batching equipment and surrounding areas are always kept clean
• Operate heavy equipment to load materials such as rock and sand
• Ensure mixing equipment is being properly maintained as scheduled
• Determine root cause analysis of operating/concrete problems
• Oversee proper raw material levels are being kept (aggregates, cement, admixes)
• Ensure all required records are being kept with access for others to review
• Participate/lead plant safety and environmental meetings
• Perform other duties as required

What You’ll Need:

• More than 1 year of experience of concrete batching and a knowledge of all aspects of concrete batching technology, equipment and methods
• Ability to obtain Batch Plant Operator certifications such as ACI certifications.
• Ability to work well, lead and motivate others to achieve high product levels
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and electronic test equipment
• Ability to work in an environment of various temperatures with exposure to chemicals such as cement, form oil and admixes.
• Knowledge of computers to run batching programs, Excel and Word documents
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain good, on-time attendance
