Job Overview

The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervisor of banquet staff, guest service and liquor law compliance. Ensure banquet services comply with proper food handling, policies and procedures. Supervise selling and serving guests in a safe and efficient manner. Supervise guest checks and payment collection in compliance with cash handling, credit card transactions, room charge processing and accounting policies and procedures. Motivate, train, monitor and address staff performance. Ensure associates are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve job expectations. Evaluate staff's job performance, coach and counsel as necessary. Clearly communicate to associates the standards of performance and their role in contributing to individual and team success. Ensure staff is compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, standards and regulations.

Requirements

Education plus schooling in hotel/restaurant management or related major. Two or more years of related experience in a high volume establishment. Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred. Ability to effectively and efficiently supervise staff, daily operations and resolve operational problems in compliance with policies and procedures. Knowledge of food and beverage practices. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
