Q Center is looking for Part Time Banquet Servers to join our team!

Job Summary

The Banquet Server is responsible for the set-up, service and break down of food and beverages to guests at all banquet functions, according to Q Center Standards, while ensuring quality service and guest satisfaction.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience required and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• BASSET and Food Handler certifications or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.

Fundamental Requirements

• Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests and fellow employees.
• Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters requiring their attention.
• Perform preparatory tasks and side work duties to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
• Know how to read the Banquet Event Order and be familiar with the menu of the assigned function.
• Serve guests according to Q Center’s standards in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
• Respond to guest problems, complaints and accidents; communicate to management, if necessary.
• Set all tables, buffet stations, bussing stations and bars according to Standard Operating Procedures and to match Banquet Event Order and event diagram.
• Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and orderly manner, stock with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for food service functions.
• Clean-up banquet space after the completion of the function and ensure that all equipment and supplies are cleaned, stored and re-stocked properly.
• Adhere to all BASSET procedures while serving liquor to ensure guests are served alcohol in a safe and controlled environment to avoid problems with intoxicated guests and, when necessary, report to management.
• Follow all money handling procedures when serving the guest.
• Know the menu items for each catered function and give accurate descriptions.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction and safety is achieved.
