About us:We are an artisan bakery in sunny Menlo Park. We began making sourdough bread out of a single dutch oven, and since then have expanded our product line to include a variety of naturally leavened breads, including baguettes, European-style ryes, challah, pain de mie, fougasse, other delicious baked goods (sourdough scones, giant cookies, muffins, cakes) and prepared foods (sandwiches, pizza, giant potstickers, etc.). Today, we are in more than a dozen farmers’ markets in the Peninsula and recently opened our first brick-and-mortar bakery in downtown Menlo Park. We are a group of straight-forward, passionate and dedicated people, and are looking for similar-spirited people to join our team.
Job description:
We are seeking bakery shift managers. Responsibilities include overseeing quality, enforcing organization, and managing the flow of the shift while also assisting with specific processes when necessary (baking, shaping). This candidate is ideally an experienced baker and/or has significant kitchen management experience, but we also welcome candidates who may have less experience but care deeply about product quality, and who enjoy the challenges and the joys of organization and management in a young and fast-growing business. English fluency required; bilingual English-Spanish strongly preferred.
