Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Surge Aerospace Carpet kits per established work instructions utilizing a variety of sewing machines (eg double overcaster, brother quilter, serger)
- Read and complete travelers.
- Operates sewing machines using foot lever.
- Stand up and push aside empty cart.
- Functional/Technical Competencies
- Perform minor maintenance on machines as needed including re-threading and replacing needles as necessary.
- Maintain workstation in a neat and clean orderly fashion.
- Ability to read/use a ruler, add/subtract and calculate fractions
Experience/Education
- High School graduate or Equivalent GED
- Prior Sewing experience in sewing/textile industry utilizing related machines is preferred, will train.
Job Factors/Work Environments
- Position is highly repetitious and involves occasional moving of moderately heavy materials up to 50 lbs. Perform all duties according to established safety and efficiency procedures.
